Dean Galaro is a partner in the funds section of Wick Phillips. He focuses his practice on the formation, structuring, management and operation of domestic and international private investment funds and registered investment advisors. Dean helps private equity, venture capital, hedge, commodity, and real estate funds, as well as bank collective trusts, navigate state and federal regulators, filings, and examinations. Dean also advises clients allocating money to private funds and separately managed accounts, including investment review to side letter negotiations.
Before joining Wick Phillips, Dean was the Vice President of Legal at an international cash management company. Prior to that, Dean was a Vice President and Counsel within the Asset Management Division of Goldman Sachs. Earlier in his career, Dean practiced in the Denver office of Perkins Coie LLP and the Dallas office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP.
