Adan Abu-Hakmeh is an associate in the litigation section of Wick Phillips and focuses on policyholder clients in complex commercial insurance coverage matters. Adan advises clients on managing contractual obligations to best support their business. Her experience includes working proactively to help clients avoid litigation by negotiating well-conceived agreements. Adan specializes in representing and advising corporate clients on risk management and indemnification.

Her practice includes mediating and arbitrating business disputes before litigation begins. When litigation becomes necessary, Adan also has experience litigating a wide range of complex commercial matters concerning contract disputes, as well as general liability, property, regulatory compliance, and environmental issues for clients. Adan has successfully defended clients across Texas by obtaining favorable decisions on Motions to Dismiss under 91A and Motions for Summary Judgment.

Before joining Wick Phillips, Adan practiced at a boutique firm in Dallas. Adan worked as a research assistant for current Baylor Law School Dean William Jeremy Counseller, as an intern for in-house counsel at Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Company, and as an intern with Judge Alan D Albright in the Western District of Texas.
