Justin Monsenepwo is an associate in the corporate section of Wick Phillips and focuses on banking and finance, private equity, real estate finance, and general business matters.

Prior to joining Wick Phillips, Justin worked for the Compliance and Exchange Group where he focused on broker dealer compliance with FINRA, SEC, and state registrations. He earned his Ph.D. in law (summa cum laude) and his master’s (magna cum laude) at the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg (Germany). This allowed him to become a research associate at the University of Oxford (United Kingdom), and a lecturer in corporate and commercial law at the University of Montreal (Canada), the University of Johannesburg (South Africa), and the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law (China). He also has several books, book chapters, and law journal articles on corporate, commercial, and financial law, published in Germany, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, South Africa, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He developed an extensive experience internationally, first as an intern at the law firm CMS Hasche Sigle in Frankfurt (Germany) in their Mergers and Acquisitions group, and as an Ad Hoc consultant for the Hague Conference on Private International Law in Cameroun, the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and The Netherlands.
