Jeff Dalton focuses his practice on a variety of corporate matters. He represents parties on a broad range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.  He also counsels his clients on entity formation, corporate governance, general corporate issues, other business and commercial transactions, and privacy compliance.

Prior to joining Wick Phillips, Jeff was the general counsel and corporate secretary for a private equity-backed provider of a software as a service platform. Prior to that, he held numerous in-house counsel roles at various software as a service platform provider. He also holds the CIPP/US certification of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and previously served as chief privacy officer for a global money transmitter in addition to his in-house counsel role.  He started his career at law firms in Houston and Austin advising clients regarding mergers and acquisitions, software licensing, intellectual property, and general corporate matters.
