Chuck Williams combines his experiences as an accomplished Army Combat Engineer, a Martindale-Hubbell AV rated lawyer, and a business executive at major corporations to offer a range of legal and business services to clients today. His practice includes: corporate governance, compliance, legal operational support, complex agreements, crisis management, high stakes litigation, contract process streamlining, IP portfolio management, board interaction practices and any matters related to strategic leveraging of legal resources. Chuck also has a track record for helping clients identify, develop and implement sustainable processes that reduce risk and increase ROI.
Chuck began his legal career as a litigator and later, used that experience to develop and implement a proprietary litigation management software application for one of the largest title claims portfolios in the country. In the 1980s, Chuck joined MCI and distinguished himself among lawyers who helped build the company’s nationwide telecommunications network. Chuck was later named Counsel for the MCI subsidiary MCIMetro.
When WorldCom purchased MCI, Chuck joined IXC Communications (later known as Broadwing) where he first served as Director of Business Development helping to achieve $1 billion in annual sales, and later as Vice President and Associate General Counsel with responsibility for all legal and regulatory needs.
In 2005 Chuck became General Counsel of WiFi leader Wayport, where he elevated company and board functions of governance and compliance to levels that set the stage for a smooth, rapid and highly successful acquisition by AT&T.
