Mr. Anderson is a partner at Wick Phillips and has been practicing complex commercial and intellectual property litigation for more than 16 years. During his career as a litigator, Mr. Anderson has helped numerous clients obtain successful verdicts and settlements within Texas and throughout the country. Some of his most important legal cases involved representing Medtronic, Inc.; BearingPoint, Inc.; Halliburton Energy Services, Inc.; US Synthetic Corporation; Silver Point Capital, L.P.; and, many others.
Highlights from representative complex commercial litigation matters include: Representing Silver Point Capital, registered investment advisor and hedge fund, which required Mr. Anderson to handle multiple matters involving suits on defaulted promissory notes, claims of breach of contract and foreclosure of loans in default. He represented BearingPoint, formerly KPMG Consulting, on several matters including a class action related to travel rebates, an Oracle E.R.P. software implementation case, a failed technology start-up case, and conducted third-party nationwide discovery in an antitrust case. Mr. Anderson represented Pilgrim's Pride Corporation in a lawsuit in the Southern District of New York involving claims of unfair competition, trademark infringement, breach of contract and tortious interference with contractual relations. In addition, he represented Wilsonart LLC in a lawsuit involving claims for breach of contract and theft of trade secrets.
In addition to his commercial litigation practice, Mr. Anderson represents clients on numerous intellectual property matters. He represented Medtronic in a patent infringement lawsuit involving cardiac pacemaker technology. For PNC Bank, Key Bank and Sun Trust Bank, Mr. Anderson handled a patent infringement lawsuit involving patents related to electronic check presentment technology. Mr. Anderson also represented US Synthetic and Halliburton in a patent infringement lawsuit involving cutting elements technology for drill bits.
Prior to joining Wick Phillips, Mr. Anderson was a Principal Shareholder at McKool Smith, P.C. He is admitted to practice in the State of Texas, the United States District Court for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts in Texas, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
