Jeff Mills represents clients in a broad range of civil litigation, with a focus on complex commercial cases. His practice includes advising clients on commercial litigation issues, as well as matters issues arising under federal and state consumer protection statutes, including the Dodd-Frank Act, UDAP laws, and other related state law compliance issues. He has also assisted multiple clients in responding to civil and criminal government investigations, including matters arising under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

Jeff handled investigative interviews of witnesses in India as part of a multi-country FCPA investigation, and has represented companies and individuals in Securities and Exchange Commission investigations. Additionally, he defended a major credit reporting company in a class action suit, obtaining dismissal at the pleading stage, and numerous single-plaintiff cases which required drafting and arguing several motions and conducting extensive discovery. All of those cases resulted in either summary judgment or very favorable settlement terms for the client.

Prior to joining Wick Phillips, Jeff was an associate in the Securities Litigation & SEC Enforcement practice at Jones Day. Before entering the practice of law, he worked in the television and broadcasting field as a sports anchor and producer.
